Our policies
The same on both tables. Read them before you book: you are covered, you each choose your pressure, and either of you can stop.
Getting on the table, and being covered
Each of you is covered by your own sheet the whole time. Only the part we are working on is uncovered, and it is covered again when we move on. A folding screen stands between the tables. We leave the room while you get under your sheet, and if you would rather change one at a time, one of you can wait in the lounge. Undress only as far as you are comfortable; whatever you keep on, we work around.
Pressure, consent and stopping
Before we start, each therapist asks the person on their table about pressure and any area to avoid. Pressure is set table by table, so the two of you can be light and firm in the same hour. Either of you can ask for lighter or firmer, pause, change position or stop at any time, for any reason, and your therapist stops right away. If one of you stops, the other session carries on unless that person asks to stop too.
Booking and deposits
Choose a length, a day and a time for both of you, and tell us who is coming. A card or a deposit holds the room for two tables and goes toward your sessions. You see the details before you confirm.
Canceling and running late
Please give us 24 hours to move or cancel a booking, since two therapists and the room are held for you. If one of you can't come, tell us: the other session stays booked, and you can keep the room for one or move both. If you are ill, tell us and we will move your visit. If you are running late, we shorten the session so the next booking still starts on time.
If you miss an appointment
If neither of you arrives and we cannot reach you, the booking counts as missed and any deposit is kept. We would rather hear from you, so call or text and we will find another day.
Children and companions
Massage here is for adults. A grown child is welcome with a parent, and a parent with a grown child. For anyone under 18, call us before you book. A third person can wait in the lounge but not in the room during a session.
When to ask your doctor first
If either of you is pregnant, unwell, or has been told by a doctor to take care with massage, ask your doctor before booking, and tell your therapist at the start. We do not diagnose, and we may suggest you check with your doctor first.
Oils, lotions and scents
We use an unscented oil or lotion unless you ask for a scent, and we can tell you every ingredient we use. Tell us about a nut or fragrance allergy when you book and we will bring something else.
If you're not happy
If a session was not right for either of you, tell us within a few days and we will make it right.
Tipping
Tipping is optional and always appreciated. Each of you can add it when you pay, or hand it to your therapist.
